Dollars invested in our children

Imagine if every child in Batavia entered school with a love of reading. Dolly Parton believes that if you can read, you can do anything, dream anything, and be anything. That’s why she founded the Imagination Library! The Imagination Library mails a FREE BOOK each month to all children registered from birth until they turn 5. How cool is that!

The Batavia United Way is partnering with local individuals, businesses, and organizations to fund a free, age-appropriate book mailed to every child in Batavia each month. By the time they enter Kindergarten, they have an entire library of books and an excitement about reading to set the stage for school success.

Every child from birth up to their 5th birthday living in Batavia, Batavia Township, or Batavia Public School District is eligible to enroll. Only 60510 zip code is eligible to enroll online. If you live in the service area but are out of the zip code, please complete the form below and submit it either by mail or email.

After registration, the first book, The Little Engine That Could, will arrive within 6-10 weeks. Then, each month your child will receive an age-appropriate book, addressed to them from Dolly, chosen by a panel of literacy experts, along with reading tips and a newsletter.
