Batavia United Way Soup Sampler Event

United is the Way to… COMMUNITY RESILIENCY

Every community deserves the opportunity to prosper. At Batavia United Way, we work with our neighbors to build resilient communities that are ready for any challenge. Through initiatives in crisis response, environmental stewardship, and supporting our neighbors, we are strengthening the foundations of communities for a more sustainable and secure future.

Adopt-A-Family

Annual Holiday Program

Batavia United Way, in collaboration with the Batavia Public Schools, each year organizes the Adopt-A-Family program. BPS staff identify families in need and help those families create wish lists which are then sent to Batavia United Way. We match the wish lists with sponsors who are interested in providing holiday magic for those families. This project is truly a community effort with individuals, families, neighbor groups, organizations, and businesses getting involved!

Day of Caring – Leaf Raking

Helping Our Neighbors

Each fall, Batavia United Way brings together approximately 100 volunteers to rake leaves for seniors, veterans, and individuals with physical challenges who need assistance. This community-driven event is a wonderful way for families, friends, and local groups to give back and help neighbors in need. Join us in November to make a difference—one yard at a time!

Snow Angels

Keeping Our Neighbors Safe Through the Winter

Batavia United Way’s Snow Angels Program connects volunteers with seniors, veterans, and individuals with physical challenges who need assistance clearing snow from their sidewalks and driveways. This neighbor-helping-neighbor initiative ensures that everyone stays safe and mobile during the winter months. Volunteers commit to helping after each snowfall of 2 inches or more, making a big impact with just a little time. Learn how to help or get help below.
